Up for sale is my beloved IE80s. They were bought 14 months ago at a Saturn store in Munich, Germany as a replacement of my lost IE8s. No original receipt but I think the buying location would ensure its authenticity. These have been recabled for most of their life, with a 7N OCC copper cable, nicely braided. The Viablue plug has some sign of wear on the bronze ring of the plug body, but the plug itself is immaculate. So the original cable has been securely stored and in excellent shape. The units themselves show some signs of wear but is hard to notice without close examination (see pic no.3). In a word, all things cosmetical. Overall they have probably seen ~300 hours of use.
I will include an IE8 box, which is much better for storage than the IE80 box (I got rid of it long ago, you'll understand if you know what kind of a box it is). Since I had owned IE8, I will also include basically two sets of accessories: 2 silver carrying case, 2 groups of tips, and 2 pairs of ear hooks.
Pictures explain everything said above.
My personal impression of these IEMs are quite different from head-fi consensus, so that I suspect the recabling and long hours had made them become something special. They sound very neutral and detailed to my ears, no hint of mid bass hump.
Selling only because I've decided to go down the over-ear road. I will definitely miss them.
Price includes shipping but not paypal fee if not 'send as gift'. Currently not considering trades. Please PM me for further details. Thanks for looking!
