Searching for a Headset/Soundcard solution specified for gaming

Hello community!

I came to the decision that it's time to replace my Megalodon (has seen better days).

Since I had this headset before I built my pc = no soundcard

My budget is about 300Euro.

Now after being overwhelmed by the huge range of choices/advices I'd like to ask you which setup you would recommend me.

My priority is on gaming (staging/directions priority) but for the completion aspect my favorite genre of music is electro.

Since I had good experience with Sennheiser, I was considering the easy Headset solution (instead of Headphone+mic) G4ME ZERO to go with a soundcard from Soundblaster (heard they are good for fps/directions but lack in music).

So now I'm asking you for some critics/concerns aswell as suggestions/recommendations.

Thank you for your effort in advance!

Regards Wonnebju

Look at MLE's gaming guide.
General consensus is that you'll get more for your money with headphone and external mic.

Creative Labs sound Blaster Z (SB1500) sound card (comes with a mic).

Sennheiser HD558 headphones.
