Hey, I’m in one of the countries above, but I found a retailer carrying your products who isn’t on the list. Is it a good idea to buy from them?
Only if you don’t want a warranty. Our distributors set warranty terms for their countries, and will not support products they didn’t sell. Nor will we support this “gray market” gear, either. You should purchase from our authorized distributor, or (if there is none in your country) from us. Anything else is a gamble."

Seems to imply that if you are in the UK they wouldn't ship. If I hadn't found an alternative I would have gone ahead and tried anyway but I wouldn't have tried to find an alternative if that FAQ answer hadn't been there...

But audiophonics looks good. I can see a few orders going their way from me. Are you on commission? ;)

I don't think it implies that they won't ship. I think what it means is that if you have a problem and you bought direct then you would need to send it back to them for repair and not to the UK distributor.

I am in the UK and order my stuff directly from Schiit. They have been very helpful, even over small details such as which shipping option to take. I now have a sick Lyr, however, and need to send it back, which is a pain.

The level of import duties are pretty breath-taking, however. Be warned!

http://schiit.com/products/wyrd-usb-decrapifier

It's available. I'm still on the fence — I recognize the purpose of the product (and experience the problems that it fixes), but I'm not sure I want to spend $99 on it... Anyone mind pushing or pulling me?

Does anyone think the Wyrd would make any difference using it in between an android phone and a usb powered dac?

I'll try it in a few days when I get the Schiit. ;)

I don't think it will make a difference with that application. This is for computer USB power issues.

I would think that unless you are getting signal drop outs and/or clicks and crackles, the Wyrd may not improve anything and may not be needed.

It can depend on the USB receiver in your DAC too. For example, the one in my Burson Conductor has been upgraded to a better one that is supposed to eliminate the need for any external USB tuner.

Any word on whether the Wyrd comes with a USB cable? Also noticed that there isn't a shot of the internal PCB, would be interested in seeing how it's doing what it is doing.

I was wondering if it would solve the "this device draws too much power" problem and give more power to the dac.

I'm glad you will try it. I'm looking forward to your findings!

Edit: apologies for the double post. Still in the noob phase

That should be solved by an external USB battery like this:

and OTG cable like this:
