equalizer and headphone amp

Just kind of toying with the idea of adding an equalizer to my Valhalla amp.  I already have a Soundcraftsmen equalizer connected to my stereo (don't really use it much though) and I also have a fairly compact 10 band Kenwood equalizer.  My stereo sits across the room from my recliner position.  My headphone amp sits next to my recliner and is connected to my preamp via good quality phono cables.  Was thinking of connecting the phono cables to the Kenwood equalizer and then to my headphone amp.  Seems like a little tweaking depending on the genre I'm listening to and which headphones would be useful.  And with the eq sitting right next to me it would  be real convenient.  Anyone else ever done this?

thx

Any opinions yet? FYI I just ordered a pair of HD650's today from Amazon. Can't wait to get them

I prefer digital EQ (my computer) as you'll avoid phase shift and introduced noise etc.

I don't use a computer as I don't really care for digital sound. 90% of the time I'm listening to analog sources. Love my graphic equalizer.

With all those reel-to-reel's, nakamichi, and the Revox linear-tracking turntable you don't listen to digital?  As someone who respects old-school equipment, I don't doubt it.

Still, one day you will realize that none of it compares to the quality or convenience of a couple of terabytes of FLAC files through a great DAC.

Other than my tablet for audio forums and a couple other topics I really don't use computers. In fact the only one I have is an Apple MacBook Air I bought used real cheap. It's on its last leg.
