I want to buy a headphone on amazon for the first time, and what would guys recommand? I listen to hiphop the most, but I really listen to all kinds of music... Please tell me what's better between them and what would you recommand for headphones under 100dollars?

What sources will you be plugging the headphones into?

The AKG is semi-open (leaks a bit and does not isolate well), while the V6 is closed.

If you want some bass emphasis, Logitech UE6000 are currently on closeout for under $100. Here's a review http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/surprisingly-good-logitec-ue6000-and-ue9000:

I agree with cel4145. The UE6000 is a great headphone for hip-hop and R&B

I always found the V6 more of a curvey presentation... Deeper "V" shape than the 240s.  I also found its earcups smaller, shallower and less comfortable as they pressed against my ear cartilage and caused soreness after 45 minutes or so.  Image and soundstage is better on the 240s, being open cans.  I never liked the one sided coiled telephone cord on the V6.  its heavy and always tugs and pulls at the left earcup.  the 240s is harder to drive than the V6.  With an under-powered amp the 240s can sound a little muddy and murky.
