Hey guys,

So the main setup I currently use consists of the following:

-ASUS G73 Laptop

-Klipsch Promedia 2.1 Speakers+Sub

-Audio Technica ATH-M50s  (Headphones)

I'm dabbling in a lot of MIDI production using Ableton and I spend a lot of time watching movies, listening to music, and gaming

on the laptop. I visited a music store nearby and they suggested that for increasing sound quality, an interface would help a lot

and they recommended the Steingberg CI1 which is priced at $99 CAD (http://www.amazon.ca/Steinberg-CI1-USB-Audio-Interface/dp/B003WI3LNU)

I was wondering if that's a good choice. I can stretch my budget to $150 if there are better options in that price range. I may want to end up using

multiple controllers via USB to Midi connections and record using mics. This specific rig has phantom power included and acts as an external sound

card quite smoothly but I don't want to rush into a purchase. Please advise and thank you in advance.
