Very good headphones with mic and remote for Android

Hello,

I've had a few earphones/headphones over the years from those bundled with devices to the likes of

Sony EX71

Sennheiser MM 50 iP

Philips SHL 9705

Philips SHE9005A

I'm now looking for a very good set with volume controls that will work on my Android phone (HTC One M8).

I've ordered some in-ear Audio Technica ATH-CKX9iS and they should arrive tomorrow.

As for on-ear/over-ear, I've tried the AKG-K452. They're good but rather small.

I read about the Sony CitiScape Uptown and the Audio Technica ATH-AX5iS.

My Audiophile friend recommended the ATH-M50 and Beyerdynamic 770. However, neither of these have the remote or mic.

The Sony Uptown is supposed to be decent but the remote seems to have issues. There doesn't seem to be much coverage of the ATH-AX5iS. As the ATH-AX5iS are "top of the line", I don't mind ordering them without trying them as I expect them to be good.

Are there any options that I'm missing please?

Full size headphones have not been associated much with the mobile/chatty market by designers up to now, but this may be changing.

The Sennheiser HD429s might be alright but if you want better quality you might have to compromise. There's always the Sennheiser Momentum as well of course if you're feeling like splashing out.

Thanks Steve.

The Momentum is made for iOS rather than Android so the play/pause button will work but not the volume button.

Any other recommendations please?

You said you tried to K452's, have you looked at the AKG K545's?  Come with a cable for ios and android (one for each).  I ordered a set from RazorDog last week, should be to me tomorrow.

Thanks, I didn't know about that one.

Can you let me know how it plays?

Absolutely.  I would also recommend reading through this thread (http://www.head-fi.org/t/670709/akg-new-headphone-k545/1380)

There are a people in there with far more experience then myself so they can give you better reviews.
