Looking for IEMs

Thread Starter

Hi, I'm Matt, first time poster.

I was wondering if some of the more knowledgable folk in the community could help me find a new set of IEMs.

I can't spend more than 450-500USD.

I mainly listen to stuff like The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Regina Spektor, Brandi Carlile and Wilco. Acoustic instruments and vocals.

I also listen to stuff like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Black Keys, White Stripes, The Dead Weather. Electric guitar, and drums.

And when I need to be on top of my game, I like to blast Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, ATCQ, and The Roots.

Sometimes I like to chill out and listen to Miles Davis.

I usually listen to my music with the volume up fairly loud, not totally maxed, but above 60%.

I really get irritated by microphonics, and I like to listen to music all day. (Like 10 hours of flying)

I've owned Ultimate Ears Triple fi 10s, Loved them till the original cable wore out. (That seems to happen to me a lot.) Then after trying a replacement they never really felt the same to me again. I ended up leaving them in a hotel room. And apparently the people at the lost and found never saw them. (Unlike my hockey jersey. They gave that back no problem.)

I also had a pair of Atomic Floyd Super Darts, they seemed dull to me for the few days I had them. They ended up pawned by a deadbeat roommate, after about five days of use.

I like a to feel the low end, have warmth in the mids and high, and maintain detail and articulation. (I don't know if that makes sense. Feel free to ask.)

I look forward to hearing from y'all. And thanks in advance.
