I totally agree with you on using graphs as a good reference point but let's not forget also that everyone's ears are totally different and that makes a lot of difference in one's perception of sound reflected on the graph. We have to also consider that not everyone has perfect hearing due to the over exposure of loud music (self inflicted) and loud noises (occupational hazard). That alone changes one's perception of sound due to hearing damage and therefore as accurate as the graphs may appear to be, it might not appear the same for the listener due to frequency loss in individual's ears. Let's be honest, I don't claim myself as having perfect ears due to the above mentioned facts therefore I use the graphs only for a point of reference but the end result is what's best for my ears...and let's not forget that everyone have different preference in sound. There's bass heads, mid heads and treble heads to consider......:D Many don't even like flat frequency response (unlike many of us who are all out to search for the ultimate flatness response) because it sounds too dry for them therefore sound is a very subjective thing

Actually our hearing perceptions are very similar, as it's a shared adaption throughout our human lives. Even with flawed hearing, you'll only loose high frequency perception and all the other stuff will still matter. Actually, people don't really know exactly what they like and it's why many go through so many IEMs because so many biases are going on, do blind tests and they'll start liking the same thing, which is what is most realistic, what gets more from the recording, which is what's more flat (though with IEMs flat means boost subbass and 3k lol)

Exactly case closed. : )

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
...some sonic aspects such as texture/ musicality just CAN'T be measure cuz it relates to each person differently in very visceral/ emotional levels so......

... some things just can't be defined/ graphed if you knowhatimeng.

Yes...that's why Ety's ER4S sounds so good except for the lack of sub bass. Damn....I wish Ety can come up with a new model with just that extra sub bass :D

Great....I just ordered the KC06 silver so I hope it's the same as the gold version. I'm not much of a bass head so I think KC06 should suffice.
