I sold my KC06.
Oh I guess I could struggle a few words. Firstly, the Alton is brighter and very much leaning towards a TWFK sound (typical dual balanced armature) over the Ostry natural timbre. The bass like I mention is simply better textured. You know when you hear clarity in a mid-range? Well Alton (and H-300 ) push out a similar sound with their lows. Good texture, depth and detail. The Alton (will sound richer, a darker taste of chocolate, this will include the highs)
Overall Alton will outclass KC06 rather easily if the signature suits, though I can see those looking for a warmer organic presentation preferring the Ostry. What with many hybrids here in my inventory I'm feeling rather overdosed with cold / cool (brightish) iem recently, it's like ok, yes my eyes rolled back from the clarity but its time to take a break.
To be honest I listen to a pair of Yamaha PR500 recently straight from a beat up iPod Classic while my other gear gets used in small doses . But remember, H20 is a bit crazy!
How was that for an attempt typing from my iPod at 4am in the morning?
