Sennheiser durability / buying new from 3rd party without warranty

Hey!

Any comments about the Sennheiser's durability in general?

I'm about to buy a pair of new (sealed) Sennheiser Momentum from someone. However, he doesn't have the original receipt (received as a gift - apparently bought from Best Buy).

Should I be worried?

Anyone needed to use the warranty on the Momentum?

Any word of advice?

Thanks!

Sennheiser Momentums are pretty solid; the only areas of concern are the replacement microphone cables (v. expensive as spares) and the little screws on the inside where the leather headband meets the stainless steel. These have been reported as coming out and being lost on occasion.

For any warranty repair with Sennheiser, you'll be asked for proof of purchase. Your only option would be an out of warranty repair; check the Sennheiser service page of the country where you are.
