all icons in text rotating on -58 opacity images. It will be pretty elegant;)

Woah - Chris - when did you do that one

Is it released yet?  I love the look of it ......

@skerry2006aj: I'd say you're actually too full of ideas! Take a bit of time to focus on what GUI elements you really like / want / need and then communicate that concisely. If you can do that, it might help you in your quest for the perfect X5 UI.

I personally found AsianInvasion's Hydrogen theme to work really well. I really didn't think I'd like it at first, but once I started using it it was great!

Now I'm using the Star Trek theme partly as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy and partly as a guilty pleasure.

I might try Blocked next...

Your version of the rotating icons looks elegant indeed!

Your H.U.D. is looking to be quite epic:beerchug:

I am working on it now.

I imagined you and 2 others in particular might dig this. It is subtle but clear.

It will be like this on all layers soft transparency with basic functionality. No toggle switches or extra stuff. The EQ will be the most challenging but Relic's discoveries and advancements on that front might help me and credit will go to him if I execute something.

I imagine H.U.D is coming and will explode quite nice and that gives me a while to do this proper. I got about 100 flashes to go.

Please give it a try when it is ready:beerchug:

Let me know when you want some feedback.  This is exactly the sort of menu that appeals to me!

Question though - when you do the EQ (I use EQ a lot when reviewing gear), can it be clear and clean, but following the same conservative but elegant style (ie not too colourful)?

I actually really liked your Hi-Fidelity, but for me found that the EQ kind of clashed with the rest of the theme.  It was great implementation - really OOTB - but too colourful / out there.

Man - I've got to get myself some time away from reviewing so that I can take a theme to pieces and have a crack myself.

Again - great job on the menu Chris - love it.

Thanks!

I have a feeling it's getting to be TOO MUCH. I dunno. First it starts out clean, then it goes too varied in the color pallet, then it's super bright. The menus may be getting too busy, but that's part of what Hollywood has us believing a heads up display should be so I'm running with it.

Just more eye candy from me instead of the simple graphic theme I thought I was doing. LOL!! biggrin.gif

I consider the trilogy of those 3 to be completed Hi-Fi/Hi-Vinyl/Hi Fidelity

This is me making a theme I imagined the X5 should come with (my opinion)

The eq will be superior and not snatch the user out of the "experience" thanks to Relic's discoveries and me moving away from the trilogy. I can do a functional and themeatic eq.

It will be matching to the launcher. It will be a true theme color coordination and image style (transparencies).

I am in constant flashing mode so I wanna do 1 more good one before the Summer comes and just enjoy the device and let others get creative and I'll come storming back with the Autumn winds but before i go I'd like to put together my best piece.

I have been waiting since i saw the concept boot up and launcher.

That thing is on another level. I almost asked if you had adjusted the brightness of the screen cuz the blue just jumps out at ya.

Depth...thing is looking awesome. After you finish you can join me if you want in a Modders Anonymous class so we can enjoy our devices more than tweak them:deadhorse:

My X5 is a Franken theme. It's always in the middle of a build. I wanna just enjoy:o.....after one more...

By mapping the sliders and baking them in to the fast picking bg I've created an EQ bg that is pixel perfect (FiiO implementation is off by a couple pixels) and allows a multitude of options for EQ eye candy. Of course you need to use a full screen arc image for the fast picking bg to cover up the original bg that's also used for the EQ. confused_face(1).gif

Just thought I'd share. Anyone can do it for their theme if they want. Just open my HUD theme when I publish it to see how it's done.

More obvious example pic, not what I'm using in the theme.

You can put any graphic for the spaces in between the sliders for a scale that doesn't repeat as well instead of blending the scale and slider like I did.
Looks fantastic.

Looks good and functional. Is this the same as Retro or is this another one?
