Challenger Approaching...

Thread Starter

All Smash Bros references aside, hi I exist. I don't really like making introduction threads but it seems like a good way to let people know of my existence instead of binge-posting in a bunch of threads and having people say "who the **** are you".

My name is Austin (my username might have been a hunch), I TRIED to make one of these threads yesterday but it didn't post for some reason. I'm fairly young but I can pretty much curb all worries about that with this: I despise the Beats, I don't listen to dubstep, rap, or pop, (or country, I ******* HATE country) meaning that I have an appreciation for less bass dependent things and I know what a proper amount of bass is (I've heard stories where non-educated kids say that the ATH-M50s don't have enough bass, and most educated audiophiles say they have borderline too much). I'm not very knowledgeable about headphones but I do know the basic stuff, highs, mids, trebels, DACs, Amps, I'm not going to run out and buy a 300$ pair of 'phones to use on my iPod, and I figured that Head-Fi is a good place to go to dive a bit deeper! I've been lurking a bit and you guys seem very knowledgeable.

I plan on starting some audio-esque reviews (other tech too, but mainly audio), my channel is the same as my Head-Fi name, even the URL which I somehow managed to procure considering that finding a good YouTube that's available these days is like hunting for treasure in the ocean with a shovel, while always floating back up.

I don't know how to end this post so I'll end it with the word Bagel

just kidding it actually ends with the word Zebra

I've got my first pair of good headphones in the mail, actually. They're the Shure SRH-440s which have had very mixed reception so it should make for an interesting review :D

Welcome to Head-Fi, sorry about your wallet! [Indeed]

The SRH-440 is a great headphone. Pretty neutral and suit you nicely since it doesn't have super powerful bass that makes you feel like you are sitting in a box.

Billson :)
