Hi all

I have a pair of Bose IE2's that the cable has started to split in multiple places and they're now out of warranty.

I was thinking of rewiring them. I know they have capacitors in the jack so I will use the original one as it is still in good condition.

I'm thinking of making a custom sleeved cable. And I'm looking for what cable to use. but while I was examining the original cable through a split near the earphone and I noticed it has two colored(blue) and two copper wires. I know copper is ground etc. but since there are 4 wires per earphone. Could I use a stereo cable(cable with 2 wires) and solder them together, or do I need to get 4 separate wires?

Thanks in advance
