Need Help With Portable Rig/Gaming Setup

Hey guys! I need a setup that can be used for public listening and home movies and gaming. My preferred genres are metal, rock, prog rock, jazz, and dubstep. I will also be using the same headphones for gaming on ps4 so I would like them to have the best soundstage possible. I've compiled a list of things I'm thinking about getting now. I'm open to any headphone, amp, decoder, and mic recommendations if they fit in my $275 budget!

-Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 ohms (Used or Refurbished): about $150
-Tritton AX 720+ 7.1 Surround Decoder (Decoder Alone on ebay): about $36
-Tritton Line in cable: Around $5
-Electric Avenues PA2V2 Headphone Amp: $75
-Zalman Zm Mic1: about $8

*Edit: For gaming I plan to set it up as follows: PS4> Tritton Decoder> In Line Cable> PA2V2> Headphones. The mic will be plugged in to the line in cable. I will connect the ps4 to the decoder by a TOSLink Optical Cable.

For my portable rig I want to attach the PA2V2 to my Galaxy Note 3 by velcro so they will not bump together in my pocket and get scratched. I'm planning to set it up as follows: gn3> PA2V2> Headphones.

Once again I'm open to any any recommendations!

This portable amp shootout includes the PA2V2 and will help you to compare it to other amps (rankings follow the reviews): http://www.head-fi.org/t/596482/the-sub-100-portable-amps-shootout-11-1-amps-compared

The DT770s are certainly a good choice in your budget range.

Would the e11 serve my purposes? It would save me $15 in case anything gets more expensive.

I don't think you can use the E11 while it's charging (not sure). Don't know about the PA2V2 in regards to that at all. If that's a concern, you should probably check into this if you don't feel the battery life will be enough.

Otherwise, sure. The E11 will work very well. It also has a nice built in bass boost should you ever want to beat your brains out with some dubstep smily_headphones1.gif

Thanks! I checked and it cant. frown.gif I will probably end up buying the e11 with the micca accessory pack, which includes an extra battery and wall charger. I can charge both batteries over night and if it runs out during the day I can replace the battery! Thanks for your help!
