For Sale:
FS: Mytek Stereo192 DSD-dac, Silver faceplate, Preamp version

Will Ship To: USA, East Asia

PRICE DROP: $1150 USD

Up for sale is a Mytek 192 DAC that supports DSD playback in pristine condition.  It's the Silver version, with a brushed aluminum faceplate and no silly level meters under the display.  It also has a pair of analog inputs on the back you can control with the built in analog or digital potentiometer.

I purchased this unit  ~1 year ago from Blue Coast Records, and it still includes $100 of download credit from Cookie Marenco's DSD catalog I would be happy to pass along to the buyer.

I have a stock photo below to show inputs and outputs, but my unit is a 9/10.  I added some sorbothane feet to the chassis to protect from scuffs and dampen vibration, and there are no nicks or signs of use at all.  It has been run balanced to a separate headphone amp, and sees 5+ hours of use a day.  It's on the latest firmware as of February 2014, and was run exclusively through the firewire input and the XLR output (if it matters)  It also ships in its original box, which is hefty.

A note on shipping: I currently live in a U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China.  I have access to standard-rate USPS ground shipping, and international DHL.  Ground shipping to the CONUS is included in the price and trackable, but will take approximately 12 days to reach the buyer in the U.S.  International shipping goes through DHL or China Post, with all the attendant confusion and expense.  I can promise that I will be diligent and communicative throughout the process, but unless you're a dedicated international buyer (or lcoated here in China) there are possibly better options for you.

All PMs responded to, and answers to a few common questions:

1) As far as I know, this unit can only receive DSD signals from a computer, not a dedicated box or SACD player.  It does have both Firewire and USB inputs, and I've read anecdotally that it can receive DoP DSD signals (DSD over PCM) through the SPDIF input if you have a USB->SPDIF converter that can properly pass those signals

2) I use JRiver for Windows through the firewire input for this device

3) The sample rate limit (as the name suggests) is 24/192.

4) I'm selling to sidegrade to a unit the can support microphone inputs more readily.  This unit can, however, record through use of a compatible A/D converter and the firewire input.  If you wanted to run a vinyl rig direct through something like PureVinyl in addition to computer music, you'd be hard pressed to do better than this combo.
