Philips Fidelio X1 Cable Replacement Help

Thread Starter

Hello all, I'm new here, although I have been using the forums for a few weeks as reading and research material.

Apologies if this question has already been asked, I really did search for it, but I couldn't really find anything specific enough.

I have my heart set on a pair of Philips Fidelio X1s, they look like the perfect set for me as I'm looking for fun set of cans for home listening. The only issue with them that I have read about is the stock cable, which is apparently rather high impedance (~1.8 Ohmes), and I hear that it does damage quality a little (especially at the low end?).

Anyway, my question is with what cable to replace the stock one with, as I have no idea what would or wouldn't be a sensible buy. A link or two to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Might be worth noting that I intend to pair the phones with an AudioQuest Dragonfly V1.2, if there is a better match up for the same price or less (£130), then please let me know.

I'm from the UK and won't import from out of Europe, and would like to spend under £35 on a cable if possible.

Thanks for reading, I greatly appreciate your help.

I bought the Vmoda stereo mini cable. It seems well made, is 0.5 ohms and you can pick your color for what it's worth. They can be had for about $12.
