For Sale:
Denon D2000. Well used but cheap! *NOW SOLD!*

Will Ship To: United Kingdom

Update: listed these just before calling it a night and woke up to a bit of a deluge of PMs (had expected some interest, just not this much!). Working my way through them all now and will respond to everyone who got in touch but it may take some time - I've probably had enough interest to sell them many times over,  so it's not worth PMing me with an offer now if you haven't already (don't want to waste anyone's time).  Thanks!

Up for sale I have a well-used, but clean, pair of Denon D2000s. Only ever used in a non-smoking household.

Only the headphones and the original 3.5-6.25mm jack adapter are included. No box, manual etc.

These were the first ‘proper’ headphones I owned, bought approx. 4 years ago and we’ve shared some good times together :)

I’ve priced them quite cheaply I think (certainly well below what broken pairs regularly sell for on a certain auction site & mint ones go for here) and they would be ideal for someone who has long wanted to try the D2000’s but hasn’t wanted or been able to pay inflated prices….or perhaps even someone thinking of a spot of modding.

The price listed includes postage & payment by either Paypal + fees (I'll split them 50/50 with you) or bank transfer is fine.

Anyway, for those who want some more info here is a warts & all overview!:

Usage: used very regularly for the first couple of years I owned them (upwards of 1000 hrs on the clock at a guess) but over the last couple of years they’ve seen very little use as my collection has increased. On the rare occasion I do dig them out though that lovely Denon sound never fails to impress me!

Headband: the headband has a slight kink in it (the metal that sits under the pleather) near the middle so isn’t perfectly rounded but sits on the head absolutely fine. There is also the odd small ‘ding’ in the pleather too which don’t show up in my pics but there no rips, tears etc. Clamping force may have reduced slightly from new but these were never clampy to begin with.

(visible) Metal parts: some light scratches / marks and a few spots were the silver paint has worn away exposing some white shows through (either a base coat or the metal is some kind of amalgam that looks white). Purely cosmetic and I’ve never had any issues with the hinges or screws falling out which is a relatively common problem with the Dx000 range.

Earcups: a fair few light cosmetic marks but no chips, cracks or deep gouges etc.

Earpads: No rips or tears but most likely they will have lost a bit of their firmness over the years.  Incredibly comfy though.

Cables: the D2000 cables are notorious for tangling and these are no exception. There are approx.3 points were the cables have regularly twisted and some signs of 'kinking' are evident - to the touch you can feel small less flexible lumps were this has happened.   They have been present for a long while now but have never affected the sound quality or resulted in the sound cutting out or interference of any kind – however, this is something that prospective buyers should be aware of as it might potentially affect longevity and the price reflects this.

If you need more info/pics or have any questions please PM me!
