Magnum V4 For sale

Will Ship To: Anywhere

These incredible Magnum V4 drivers were bought from Rhydon at Symphonies.

Silver cable was made by Chris_Himself  ………….5 Foot Silver Cable w/ Black MDPC-X Sleeving

The plug is a gold plated DHC aluminum 1/4" connector

African Black Limba Tone-wood cups were made by thelostMidrange. Cups have stovepipe cut out the back and I put some screening to protect the driver.

Black Limba produces a beautiful, warm rich tone, similar to mahogany, but with just a touch more resonance.  The tone is great and it’slightweight.

The headband is a Sony 7502 headband With L-Cush earpads.

Overall this setup has great sound quality and is super lightweight &comfortable.

I’m looking for $250.00 plus Shipping of $15.

Sold to Theogenes.                           Theogenes

I have eBay feedback here

These cups were some of the very best around in the days of the fourth version of the Magnums and up and until the v5 (“X”) got out about 1.5 years ago.

thelostMIDrange is the first wooden cup maker on Head-Fi to have foregone aesthetics and based his design in wood choice and geometry off produced sound quality only. He made extensive experimentation to find: the woods with the right density, texture, hardness, (etc.); the final shape he came up and stuck with (the ones sold here are very good representative of his signature shape); and the two principles that in order for cups to influence the sound produced they need to be lower in mass and wall thickness, and the coupling with the driver needs to be tight and snug (but not require inordinate force to make, as that would choke the cups' beneficial resonance).

^Is a Magnum v4 in very similar cups.
