my name s john, just  joined today after purchasing the ibasso dx50 works fine out of the box, was able to add some music files but I'm a little disappointed   that there is no documentation included any idea where I can get a copy
my computer no longer will recognize the dx50 it worked the first time I tried with no problems, I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting a few times but still no luck would this have anything to do with the ibasso site being down

Hi everyone my name is Adam i am new to this forum and to this hobby. I am finding out fast this is the most expensive hobby i have ever had. I started out with RC nitro cars then to handguns and rifles now this. In only 2 months i have purchased alot of stuff and cant stop. This is what i purchased Audioengine A5+ Audioengine D1 DAC Fiio E07K Fiio E11 a pair of V Moda XS and a PYLE headphone amp. I am now looking for a good pair of IEMs for work right now I use a pair of V Moda earbuds. I have been looking at the Westone W10 or Shure SE315 I work in a machine shop so its real noisy. I have read so many mixed reviews about both. I dont want the bass to be overwhelming. Anybody have any thoughts?

Hi John, welcome to the forum! You'll find a wealth of knowledge regarding your DX50 on this site. To answer your question, once the iBasso site is up again (currently down) you can go to this link: http://www.ibasso.com/download/DX50_UserGuide.pdf

You can also ask specific questions on the DX50 threads on here and I am sure someone will answer everything pretty quickly.

Welcome again, John!

Hi Adam, welcome to Head-Fi!  I have not personally tried the W10, but another person in another thread chose the SE215 over the W10.  I would try them both out and return the one you least like.  You can also demo more IEMs and choose an IEM that you may like even more than either the W10 or the SE215 at an Airport Inmotion store in your area: http://www.inmotionstores.com/locations.html.

Good luck!

I've already posted a few posts, but maybe the nice thing to do would be to introduce myself as well

I'm Zsejk, recent vinyl enthusiast (only been seriously into it for about a year), and even more recent Head-Fi enthusiast. I will admit the latter is mostly due to necessity: work is a very loud environment, and I really like to separate myself from it with some nice music. I have some Sennheiser CX 400 II in-ears (they're not overly shabby), but I find they annoy the hell out of me after an hour or so (shout-y sound, itchy ears, the lot). I got some Technics RP-DH1200 headphones to replace the in-ears. I will admit it was not a very well researched purchase... just that they're decent enough, closed, and easy to pack up and transport. I will be looking to replace them by the end of the year I think, but I'll post in the Recommendations section for some tips and suggestions.

Pretty much into all music: indie, metal, pop, classical, dance, rock, hip hop, techno, you name it. I will admit to being a slight bass-head, though I like to *feel* the bass, not be slapped around the head with it.

In any case... I've really already tremendously enjoyed my time on this forum, so thank you very much everyone for making this an informative and nice place!

Once you look in the second link (you can click and just look, no harm in that), you'll see a link that can be clicked called "Desktop & Portable Speakers".  Here it is: http://www.head-fi.org/a/head-fi-buying-guide-desktop-portable-speakers.

Hello all!

I am new here, but not new to hi-fi. Definitely new to headphones in general though.

I came here for a couple of reasons. One is right now I am considering selling a nice pair of speakers and instead putting that towards a nice pair of headphones, so I am here to do some research and perhaps ask a few questions (thank you for the link to the buying guide above, I will be reading that).

I also recently purchased a pair of Sennheiser Amperior's for my wife and love them, and I'm starting to get the appeal to headphones so I thought I'd come join the fray as it were.

Thanks for having me!

Hello Everyone

I'm Ari and I first joined to search for information about good headphones around $250 - $300 dlls and I just purchased a pair of Grado SR325e.
I really like all the info I have found in the blog so far.

Regards.
