Interesting, thanks!

Totally agree with this, while I have always been a PC gamer I have still owned most consoles except the current gen and FPS feels much much more at home and responsive on the PC.

Just takes practice, once you get the skills for FPS then they apply to most/all FPS games.
That's why people are so damn good at them when new games come out... kind of like riding a bike.

You might hate me for saying this, but I'm alot like your self... not age wise but game wise.

I really hate FPS... it just feels wierd to me

How ever there are some really awesome PC Third Person shooters

FireFall and Avatar Star being two of my favorites, although with Third Person Shooters... try not to over look the cutesy anime ones if you venture into PC games, I've found despite their child friendly graphics the mechanics are pretty deep and rewarding to learn!

There is a third and possibly Fourth game I can't think of atm either but...

Try buying a XIM to play FPS games on console. Allows you to use a mouse. Good for older gamers who grew up with mice.

I'm 20 and I still hate playing shooters without a mouse :/

I've been playing FPS with a mouse for almost 20 years, god that makes me feel old....

Hey guys...thanks for all the feedback...really helps.

I basically fell in love with MLB: The Show, watching people play it on Twitch...so when I got the word that my work bonus was more than expected, I went out and picked up a PS4 and MLB. I've only been playing for a few hours, but the frustration level is SO much less than it was trying to get anything done with the shooters. I plan to still dabble with the xbox and to work on getting better at COD and Gears of War, but those will prob take a bit of a temporary back seat to MLB for the time being.

I have some buds who play on their PCs, so I'm going to take your guys' advice and see how I do with that interface instead of a console.

Congrats on picking up The Show!!!! :beerchug:

I dont have a PS4, but I have every other edition of The Show on the other Playstations. That is probably my all time favorite sports game/franchise of any of them. if it wasnt for Final Fantasy's I would probably rate it as my all time favorite game/franchise.

That game will make me buy a PS4 shortly I have a feeling.

Hey stranger! Thanks, I just couldn't resist after watching it being played online...the simulation is so authentic. It's almost like living out a childhood fantasy lol.

Hahah, yeah I went on a bit of a hiatus for awhile. :D

Yeah man, the career mode is just awesome. I love working my way up through the minors.

Exactly, I got drafted and am in double A for the time being...I can see myself really enjoying this game for the long run.

Also here are some of the 3rd person games that I really enjoyed when they came out:

Assassins Creed (Obviously start with the first if you havent played it before) - easier to get into

Prototype 1& 2 - easier to get into

Borrowed an xbox for this one: Red Dead Redemption - might find a bit difficult but if you enjoyed GTA then this shouldn't be hard as the mechanics are similar.

L.A. Noire - GTA mechanics too

Max Payne 3 - Similar mechanics to GTA in terms of shooting.

Red Faction Guerrilla - Medium level of difficulty

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine - almost exclusively hack and slash so not ahrd to get into either

Sniper Elite v2 - A lot harder to get into but very worth it for the bullet time

GTA V: Was my game of the year last year, borrowed an xbox when I went overseas and killed a lot of time with this.
