The Altmann Tera-Player - Thread - Page 36

I am not sure why one would want to do this even if it worked. It is as easy to seat the SD card while in a pocket as it would be to insert it and then later select the next file even if it would stay on the empty file.

I think Tera always searches for the first data-containing file.

How many folders of 12 WAV songs 16 bit.41 khz can fit a 32 gb sd card?
Thinking of buying two 32/instead of one 64.
Suggestions? Thanks.

That will depend on lengths of individual songs (size of wav files depends on length, resolution, and bit depth - so you already know 2 of those where resolution=44.1khz and bit depth=16. but lengths will obviously vary between albums).

There is a theoretical limit to number of folders as well but don't worry about that - you are highly unlikely to reach that on 32GB or 64GB cards.

Got my Tera Stealth 2014 Edition with double the RAM and new algorithm for random which works 100%.Very impressed per total, with the sound.
It is natural and analogue with very black background..Who haven't heard the Tera player yet, just give it a go and you will love it.
My search for the best music player is over.Worth every single £££!.
Thank you Charles smily_headphones1.gif

Excellent - how does it compare to your old Tera Player Levi?  Notice any changes?

Hi Ade
Everything seems more open now and sound is louder then before with same clarity and dark background.
Very analogue,
love it.The random mode works now 100% because of the new algorithm and the RAM increase make a difference.

How much did you pay for it (if you're not comfortable to reveal in over here, feel free to PM me)?

Cheers.:)

Hi Atscode i have paid full price of the Stealth Edition.
Is really worth it if you ask me.
No more chasing new firmware updates or upgrade to a new DAP every six month when new one comes out.
Tera is the best at one thing: playing music,no bugs, etc.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
NOTE: i don't work for Charles nor i am affiliated with him in any way.
Cheers, Musicday

Curious, why didn't you go for the LIGHT edition?

Is there a difference between both of them?

Can you please expand on this? How is your stealth different from other stealth (what else was done exactly as you wanted in addition to regular stealth)?

Also, you mentioned it's more open and louder? How is that possible? I was under impression Charles is using the same chip and processing where the only firmware changes had to do with SD card compatibility and fixing random?

Are you saying new 2014 has changes in SQ as well?
