And I think they are okay.. I'm not an audiophile (so what do i know?) however although they are good, I was not impressed.. Until I played a couple FLAC versions of my mp3 version and it was great! But now I'm sad because most of my music ..rather ALL of my music is in mp3 and even if I wanted to go to full FLAC i would have no where to play it beside my computer (i listen mostly on my ipod).. now I feel a bit screwed? maybe when they burn in they will be better with the ipod?

They will sound ok with the ipod.....but the better the source the better they will sound.

They can not sound any better than the recording will allow.

i realize that now.. i'm too far in to start FLAC/ALAC really .. i would have to essentially start over ...maybe with time and money i could

Grado recommends 50 non-continuous hours. 35 continuous hours with metal did the trick: the treble on my 80i became smoother.
