The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club") - Page 271

HBB,

When i was changing the pads to sz2000 from HA-M55x. I found out some screws showed sign of wear or use even though I bought them new. So didn't pay too much attention to it but now I got worried if they were refurbished or fake lol!!! So I contacted the seller for a return. Now, with all my settings tweaked on my C5 and viper can't tell the difference form ha-m55x sound and the sz2000 maybe because now I am all paranoid that they might be refurbished or something.. here are some pictures. would like to hear what do you think??

If the screws were like that I'd send it back. looks sketchy and was clearly opened...it seems

This is a 55x driver below which i blew

If the SZ are not thumping your skull way more than the 55x there is a big problem.

This track should be miles ahead on the SZ

55mm dedicated sub v.s. a 50 mm driver for everything...it's very different

My bass boost is very big FYI

You need an amp and a boost in the sub bass to get this:

@dreynam2

I am in Japan and will sleep.

If you raise the sub bass and have an amp the difference should be very large using 55x pads. If it's not there is a problem.

I don't think yours are fakes as these are hard to make and have a small profit margin v.s. other cans. It wouldn't be worth it to fake unless they were 500.00 + cans.

They may have been opened  and refurbished though?

The 55x should distort completely and totally long before the SZ get near audible distortion.

Your phone has to be rooted and it has to be an android phone.

A mini?  there is a root checker in playstore.  Download the second or third one that pops up and run it.  It will tell you instantly if your phone is rooted.

if your phone is not rooted, then you'll have to go root it.  Viper4android will not work without the phone being rooted.

One thing to note is rooting will void any manufacturers warranties.

I got them on ebay.

mini? whats the phone model? make sure to root your device tons of info can be found at xda developers website. If you just root your phone without any custom rom you definitely need to install any busybox app from appstore and need to open it to install busybox applets on your phone. then you install viper4android

Seems like you'd only be gaining volume this way, and not amp power.

LOL

Love the classic basshead photo...55x wearing sz pads:D

You look like you got some equipment:p

Raise the sub bass while listening to the Wiz track or

This Kendick track has 2 sub bass hits and one just above around 70Hz. you can tune with and it should throttle your head with waves of bass. negative eq everything to-6dB which is the sound sig but reduced and raise only the sliders from 20-60Hz to around +2 dB which gives a gap of +8 between the rest of the flattened response and the slightly raised sub-bass. Put a bass boost via amp on that and you have lots of boom and no screaming in your ears as the highs are reduced....but uniformly.
