The Krakens are just as bad, but they're cheaper, so yeah.

Having tried a few of their headphones and headsets before, I could say that they aren't really made for bassheads. They're probably just made for the general public who like to play games and don't know any better. IMHO that is what Razer's aim is.
well, as the great Hawaii said, to each their own.

This is an Extreme basshead thread and a 7.1 headset is a gaming rig:D I'd love one if I game but I don't.

Looks cool but certainly not basshead. Not intended to be

I just said that everyone likes what they like. I didn't say anything about the 7.1 being basshead.

Hey @thatBeatsguy did you hear that Apple bought out Beats. Wonder if they will release a new line up of cans.

Apple isn't going to update the headphones for a few years they said lol. They just bought beats for the music streaming service.

I thought everyone knew about this already. I've already been lurking on the Apple buys Beats thread for weeks, and, well, there you go. But as for releasing a new lineup of cans, well, I guess they started that off with the Solo 2.

Sig DJ have great bass but not sz level. IMO not really close. Not from 70Hz and down.

Sz require eq and amp along with the pads.

There is a community of owners HERE

They can help better than I ...I'm just a basshead. The sz can do more than play Hip-Hop.

Awesome, thanks for the advice and the link.

Woah, so the June list removes the Sig DJ's completely from the list, though they were third in the May listing? I find it hard to believe the bass from $60 JVC HA-MR77x's beat the Sig DJs.

@Hawaiibadboy OMG I almost bought the American Audio a long time ago, but I decided to pass on them.

These are not really ranked besides the sz being the zero point standard.

Beyond that it's cans that can survive extreme low frequency slope on 2 tracks with 1 sub-bass heavy and another bass heavy.

I cannot go beyond that so this is a good chance to clarify the numbering is not ranking.

The Sones shine at upper bass hits but after the visit this weekend and last to a guitar center I found some sets that take a lot of or all of the e12. The Pioneer 1500 almost made it but the eq needed inversion/negative eq'ing to achieve relative impact to the others.

This list is being honed. The Ruths are gone despite excellent sub-bass they were over powered by cheaper cans with better handling of input.

The American Audio are rebranded 77x...really trippy. Sounds very very similar and has 57mm drivers. Hollow mids but for Hip Hop with an amp.....boom boom!!

Believe it.

They do.

All adjectives aside ...if a picture is worth a 1000 words....what's a vid worth?

Quality wise...not same level as Sones but bass hit? This is extreme bass club. The 77x are the real deal for Hip Hop.

I'd get the 77x myself as the bigger cup seems to help resonate/stew/brew the hit but the A.A. are 57mm that could easily be modded. They are 57mm with much higher power input handling (don't know the 77x off hand but it's not 3500mW)

Think I'll stick with my current Cans. I like good mids.

If I ever get another amp I'll do this test with my cans.
