Recommend me a Basshead Headphone with SQ

Hi,

1st of all, i'll tell my audio background. I came from Car Audio with SQ-kinda setup with McIntosh MX406 HU, LPG 26NA tweeters, Pioneer TS-S101PRS midranges and old Focal midbasses, without a sub. Those midranges and tweeters are highly praise by DIYMA's Npdang.

But, regarding headphones, i really wanted a headphones that can have a rumble sub-bass with some clarity, eventhough not Hi-Fi level. And so, i tried Superlux HD681, which is quite satisfying budget headphones for me, but of cos i do EQ them quite a lot. The clarity, detail, separation is OK for me but the sub-bass response is a bit shy for me eventhough it's headvily EQ'd. Not sure if the driver that distort or my Asus Xonar DG is insufficient in power.

So, my question is, should i buy a new headphones that is Sub-bass monster PLUS a bit of clarity or should i add external amp to my Headphones-PC setup ?

If headphones, then what headphones ? Prefer it cheap if available

*note : heard praise about JVC MR77X that have rumble sub-bass response but not sure if it will rival my HD681 in clarity

The Superlux HD681 EVO is much more bassy than the regular HD681s.  I have both and there is a substantial difference in the sub bass on the EVO model.

Stepping it up a notch or two, the Beyerdyamic DT770s are very bassy headphones with excellent SQ. Every bit as bassy as the EVOs but much tighter and cleaner SQ.
