Actually might be fun if we could each do a list of (even 20 or so) songs that would cover a wide range of genres - and be used for testing.  I think 20 or 30 would probably cover most genres with enough variety to make a good test platform, and it would be interesting to see what we're each planning to test on - and why.

Anyone game?  I'll start thinking about it over the weekend.

I actually try to stick to a list of songs I am very familiar with that is manageable and keeps me from getting to bogged down. I then look for specific highlights within the songs to see how the headphone/iem manages. I also then listen to a few songs from a holistic approach instead of details to see how I like just listening to my music. At this point I watch for emotional responses like toe tapping. Smiling, or just getting lost in the moment.

I do same - but I like Bob's approach for this particular exercise because he's looking at covering the widest possible range of genres.  I usually don't do this as I rarely listen to metal or rap.  Just thought changing things a bit for this particular exercise - where we're testing two alternative signatures - might be a good approach.  YMMV.

Yeap. Indeed maybe we should try getting a list of tracks that we all uses it to test Rock Jaw. We can add our own list privately xD

I like James Blake [Overgown] and Frank Ocean [Orange] very much hehe

I'm game to test out other genres as well as my listening is very eclectic, so I can do just about anything. But Rap, Vocaloids, Chiptune, J-Pop, Shoegaze, Djent and specifically Growl Metal will not get evaluated or even listened to. No offence to those who like those, just not for me.

I have a large Jazz collection, lots of Classic / Progressive Rock, some Baroque and of course the EDM for driving Wub Wub Bass.

Post some lists and we can cough *Dropbox* cough between ourselves with PM's if the need arises. biggrin.gif

This is going to be a great time for sure.

I was actually thinking it would be better if each person made their own personal list of 20 or so tracks.  But then if we all posted our individual lists, we could then compare, discuss, and maybe make this even more fun - especially when we all get the R-J IEMs.

Now that would be nice. BUT, we have to see if we can impress you with our wares yet ;)

Thanks T-D. Been a few times now. Always surprises me each time it happens, but I'm grateful when it does. I put a lot of time into writing them.

I'm particularly looking forward to the Rock-Jaws. Love my DN-1000s but getting fit issues (especially tips coming off while wearing). Was looking at getting something else to solve this - so the timing of R-J release could be perfect!
