If you look closely at the black/ebony filters, you will see a very tiny hole between the grooves. This is what makes the difference to the amount of bass.

For a third filter that sits between the 2 current ones we will have to reduce the venting. We will have to either use an even smaller hole or look at some kind of damper.

|joker| has some gear to test. But it is not him. I cant imagine he would have the time to get so in depth into this, rather a busy fellow.

Brooko has been pitching in almost daily behind the scenes. So wanted to let him have first crack of the whip, rather than send loads out. Hoping this is as close to sorted as they can now get.

I found a device that the silver filters work perfectly for, with the black filters the treble from the Alfa's is sharp enough to cut your hair.

3rd Generation iPod nano with the Mmmm smell it, Griffin leather case...

It`s a great combination for the silver filters, the EQ was shut off on the nano and the bass was strong but far from overpowering.

:beerchug:

Its becoming more apparent that the source device can make some big differences. But as most consumers will use this kind of units or similar. I think we are about right on the amount of bass for that filter :)

I can smell that case from here :D

A portable, foldable on ear Acero that will rival the JVC HA-S500's!

Hey, I'm ALL in!

Yeah, that would be awesome. I've never heard the JVCs, but I hear they are great for the money and it would be nice if the on-ear will be in a similar price range.

The new baby brother of the Acero, will be less money than the Acero, but final RRP is not fixed yet.

I'm liking this. It looks like a prettier version of the Urban Ears stuff.

Don't paint the wood (if it is) this time xD

I tried listen to the Alfa Genus with iNano 3rd as well but it always feels something is lacking IMO but indeed, less bassy!

Yeah, it really does!

I would personally prefer a darker colour.

These will have black cups also

That would be nice :D

Personally I would prefer it if you guys stayed away from the Acero's adjusting mechanism, it just seems a bit flimsy to me. I'd prefer if the adjustment thing was in the headband.

Have you tried very very very thin rubber?
