The Alfa Genus would really benefit from a middle filter.

pls, don't get offended. but i already tried other filters apart from the included ones. and my impressions didn't change. i don't think taste or preference is the point here, as i'm comparing them with several other earphones i own/owned.

sure, there's always the chance that i got a bad unit or something...

For how long have you been using them? I didn't really listen to it when it's out of the box. Just a random quick test before I headed to sleep that night but I let them play.

I mean...it's a balanced armature so it theoretically shouldn't change with burn in. Zelda, if you live in the US, I can send you my pair to compare.

Welcome to IG Bob!

We will be flooding when things get rolling! You should pick out some hash tags that we can use on each post.

#RockJawAudio would be a good one to start with.

I think i already gave them the necessary standard burn-in time.  something definitely wrong , with my pair at least.

but i think it's fair enough to share my impressions/thoughts as well

We talked about this a while ago - so I've finally compiled a list of test tracks that I use frequently when testing headphones.  Not all of them are always used - and a lot have no real reason (some aren't even the best quality mastering) for being listed other than the fact that it is music I like, and gives me a feel for performance across different genres.

Anyway - here's the list.  Will be interested to see lists from the other testers - it might be a great way to compare and also pick up some new artists etc.
