Hi Billson, send me a PM please.

They need a reasonably good source to drive them properly.

Hope that answers your question, if not please ask away.

Cheers.

Thanks for the information. The sound signature sounds good.

I think I'll wait until the Acero reviews start coming out and feedback has been used for product tweaking if required.

I'm looking for a comfy set of headphones with little leakage to be driven with my FiiO X3 solely for office use.

I can confirm that I have received my package from Rock Jaw ALFA GENUS and ACERO. Listening to the ALFA GENUS right now at work and without getting into any details at this point, I can absolutely confirm that they are the SS that I enjoy very much with the silver filters on.

Good to hear! Looking forward to full feedback.

The Acero and Alfa Genus received safe and sound.

Alfa Genus:

Well balanced sound with the black filters, just left me wanting a little bit more bass, but the detail, separation and soundstage really impressed me. The mids especially have excellent clarity and are very detailed.

The silver filters are much bassier and they really do make the sound very exciting and fun to listen to. I love it too.

Acero:

Wow, the bass is very impressive, hard hitting but detailed and clean. The mids are nice, a little on the warm side and lush sounding, kinda reminds me a little of the HE-500. The treble is a bit relaxed or is this just because I've been using the HD800 too much lol? Soundstage and detail is quite good too and for $150 I really can't complain. IMO it blows away the ATH-M50 from memory.

I will post a full review later, when I burn these in.

Thank you lin0003.

We always hope for positive feedback, although we are not adverse to negative as we can always improve.

But right now we are all smiling from the feedback.

Looking forward to your full review in due course

No worries guys, thanks for sending it to me. Oh, and a little about the other aspects.

I'm not a fan of the Alfa Genus case, the stickers are not really lined up properly and it's too big to carry around. It would probably be more useful if you guys included a clamshell case. The tips are nice though.

really like the unique design of the Acero and they are really comfy. I would, however, suggest that you make it a bit harder to adjust, I find it sometimes just slides around when I don't want it to and it's a little annoying. The cable feels nice and soft, it's very flexible. It would also be nice if a pouch or something was included, shouldn't cost too much.

All the things you mentioned are already in the works as we speak. We started on re-doing the whole range with new packaging a week ago and are now just deciding on carry cases etc.

Some changes we are also going to do with the Acero is change the jack points on the cans and angle the jack point slight toward the rear (down and away).

The case for the Alfas was a stop gap. New packaging will be a massive step forward :)

Keep feeding back as you see fit :beerchug:
