Low volume on ATH M50s, help!

As the title says, I find the max volume on the ATH M50s to be a bit too low, other than that I love the headphones. I'm very new at headphones, all my previous headsets have been gaming ones. And these are my first headphones.

The volume is maxed on both the volume mixer, and the program I use to listen to music ( Spotify ). I tested with YouTube as well, and the volume is still not to my satisfaction.

The headphones are plugged into the back of my pc ( custom build by myself ) in the green colored jack, the front one seems to be a bit broken as the sound disappears and it needs to be in a certain position, I wiggled it a bit while it was plugged into the back and no sound change, so I assume it works fine.

I don't have  a dedicated soundcard, no amp and I have the motherboard P8z77V-Pro with a 750W power supply.

I hope I have supplied enough information for help to be easier given.

Thank you in advance - Per

Sounds like your computer soundcard does not have enough juice to drive the M50s to the volume you like.

Get a headphone amp.

Thank you for the reply, I don't really know anything about amps, could you recommend some? within a decent price range if possible I don't think I'd like to go over 80 USD for an amp just now as I'm saving up for a vacation.

Thanks! -Per
