Velvet Underground Reissue Quality

Hi guys, new here; been lurking a long time and finally decided to join up and get in on the discussion.

I just got a copy of VU's Loaded, the Fully Loaded edition, and in Oh! Sweet Nuthin', in the first 30 seconds or so, there's a sort of static in the right channel. I do believe the 90's Rhino releases were mastered by Bob Ludwig, so I figured these were the best digital copies to go for (I like vinyl, but every time I see Loaded in store, it's a reissue. I usually prefer used vinyl). Is it all in my head; is it part of the original masters? If so, I'm okay with it, but I'd hate to know it's unique to this release.

Anyone else hear this? There's got a be a couple Velvet Underground fans here.

For the sake of some good discussion, what do you guys think are the best versions/releases of the classic VU albums?
