I have converted CD's in the past but I want to be able to download quality audio files and honestly don't know where to start. I still have my set of HD650's but I want to take full advantage of these headphones so I turn to this site for help. Where can i find better audio file types and what do you guys consider the best lossless audio file? Are they all the same? I literally have no idea where to start. I will mostly be listening to house music but I still like to listen to classical music and want to make sure I enjoy the full potential of these headphones I have put off buying for years,

Technically, since all lossless formats are lossless, they should sound exactly the same. However, I prefer to use FLAC as it takes up roughly half of the space of the WAV of the original file (depending on the file) but is still lossless.

This. Once a lossless format is processed during playback it is decompressed and comes out the same as any other uncompressed or lossless format. It is exactly the same as the original CD recording... don't worry. Focus on making sure you have quality upstream components first and foremost.
