I have an Alien DAC I've been using at home with foobar2000 and ASIO4ALL and it works wonderfully, playback is great and there are no issues. I am now at a new job and brought my setup into work to use at my desktop. I plug in the Alien DAC and use it as a normal soundcard (default drivers are installed by windows) and it works just fine about 70% of the time. The issue occurs whenever the CPU is under any sort of medium to heavy load. Particularly, when I quickly scroll through long PDFs or when I move an AutoCAD drawing around too much/zoom in and out, the audio will stutter and cut out momentarily. I've done a lot of searching and haven't come up with any solutions. I've looked at the way the interrupt requests (IRQ) are ordered and attempted to change that, not successful. Also changed the computer to prioritize background tasks, still not successful.
Can anyone share any insight they may have for this issue? Is there a certain way I should configure something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide any additional info if it helps.
