e12 vs e18 vs BH2 for Note 3/Grado sr325i ?

Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my portable audio.

Do have several iPods & other players - but as my Note 3 is always with me anyways I thought to drop in some amp that would fit it best.

Right now I'm using no amp, Poweramp as my player. Sound is..well...OK - but would be happy to gain some more power, better & more controlled bass + more details on mid-highs.

Thought about the e18 - but since I've heard it's not clean enough between songs as well as when bass is boosted - it's a bit hard for me to just place the order.

C&C sounds like a bargin, e12 is a solid one, besides the fact that it's hard for me to choose between those two (help!) - am I loosing something going for an analog solution for the Note 3 ?

Thanks a lot,

G

I'm not sure how hard to drive your Grados are, the E17 works fine with the Note 3 so the E18 should work fine as well. If your headphones would appreciate a little more power, the e12 will give you that but I'm not so sure what the line out options are for the Note 3. I'm thinking the E18 might be the way to go for you.
