To what should I upgrade to from a broken TMA-1?

This is the 2nd time they brake, and as much as I love them, I feel it's time for me to move on.

To the matter: I actually adore the TMA-1 sound. It is dark, but after proper EQing it still, after 2 years, blow my mind.

I'm considering the Beyerdynamic DT770 80 Pro, and the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II.

My main concern is will I enjoy them without an amp? Do you think there are better alternative than these models?

I listen to all music genres (from classical music to deep house).

I listen to it mainly connected to Logitech Z-340 (PC speaker system) and my LG G2 smartphone.

What do you guys think?

I have the dt770 pro 80 and its wonderful. I listen to many genres on them, there bass is wonderful. They really do benefit from an amp, but most headphones will almost always sound better amped. A small portable like a fiio e7 or e17 sounds really good with them. An amp is not a must but the sound does improve with one

DT770 is quite ear piercing without a proper amp. I'd go with the HD25 in this case.
