Head-Fi,

I am certainly new here and nwe to any type of decent audio.  I am PC gamer and just want good sound in general.  I have the Schiit Audio Magni/Modi and some Sennheiser HD598s.  I am looking for some speakers for my desk that I can either hook up to the DAC(Modi?) or straight to the PC.  I would like to be able to run my HD598 with in-game sound and possibly speakers for background music.  Being able to control each volume independant of each other.

Was looking at:

M-Audio BX5 D2s

Audio Engine A5+

Audio Engine A2

Hivi Swan M200MKIII

What would best suit me for price/perfomance and easy set up through DAC or motherboard?  If anyone else has better speakers they recommend please let me know!  :)

At the same time? I'm not sure how you would do that. I think Windows only processes one audio signal at a time, but I could be wrong.

Add JBL LSR305 and Emotiva Airmotiv to your research. Delete Audioengine A2s are they are not the same class as the other speakers you are considering.

B&W MM-1 or, if you can afford it, the GLA-55

Monoprice 5" studio monitors, $170 (re-branded M-Audio BX5s ?).
