I'm not an audiophile, I just love music, and I love using in-ear headphones.  After using UM1, and the UM2 from Westone, I cannot ever again listen to music with Apple ear buds or any other "cheap" buds.  I hope that doesn't sound obnoxious, or fancy, the music just doesn't sound the same.

I broke my UM2s, and Westone says they are no longer doing repairs on units and are offering me a replacement at a discount.  The discounts are like 28% off full retail.  I won't be able to appreciate the differences between models, so do I take advantage of this deal to get the priciest model, or will I be happy with something else?  Help me choose audiophiliacs!  Here's the list:

W1- $39.95 plus $11.95 shipping
W2- $69.99 plus $11.95shipping
W3- $89.99 plus $11.95 shipping

Adventure Series- $39.99 plus $11.95 shipping

Westone Talk Series- $39.99 plus $11.95 shipping

UMPRO10-$49.99 plus $11.95 shipping
color options for UMPRO 10
Clear,Red,Blue

UMPRO 20-$74.99 plus $11.95 shipping
 Clear

UMPRO 30-$ 99.99 plus $11.95 shipping
color options for UMPRO 30
Clear, Smoke

W10 - $59.99 plus $11.95 shipping
W20  - $89.99 plus $11.95 shipping
W30 -  $104.99 plus $11.95 shipping
W40  -$139.99 plus $11.95 shipping

I was looking at W40, just cuz it retails around $500, and the UMPRO 30.  I don't mind spending the money, I just want to hear what some other folks have to say on this.

Let's add a poll just for the hell of it.

If you can get a W40 for that cheap, just buy it. It will be the pinnacle of sound from Westone so will give you the most bang for your buck.

Thanks for the replies, your convictions were enough =D

Buy everything then sell 'em for twice the price, and that's still considered cheap.

Go try them out if you can.

If the w40 sound anything like the w4, you might need some time to adjust to the soundstage.

I would get the w40, sell it and get a um pro 30.

Practical idea but too much work for a couple of hundred bucks.  Idea is great and would work though, thanks for the suggestion!

It's definitely too much work for that little returns.

Is that sarcastic? It should be.  When you think about it, you make an ad, collect, ship it out, and then make your new purchase.  Assuming there are no complications (and there shouldn't be if your using ebay or something like that), it's a couple of hours of work at most!  That actually sounds like a really awesome return.  Too bad I'm lazy and dumb.

Not sacarstic, that's on 2nd thought.

Too much work to follow up.
