What's a good gaming headset?

Thread Starter

I play a lot of FPS, mainly BF4.  I will always play the battlefield series so I'd really like something that will do well for that game.

I really don't want something that's more than $200-$225.  I'll also have to buy a mic and I'd really like to use V-Moda's Boom mic that attaches straight into headphones.  The catch is that they need a detachable wire.  I think that pretty much limits the selection by quite a bit.  Another option I guess could be a blue snowflake mic and a standard headset without a detachable wire but I'd prefer the previous option.

One last thing, comfort is a huge thing.  Game sessions can go a LONG time.

This is what I'm considering right now, how would this work?

Philips Fidelio X1 w/ V-Moda BoomPro Gaming Mic

What are your suggestions?

Thanks!
