Anyone else able to use the usb dac function with video or other media to see if the audio sync is out? The AK100 does the same thing. With the AK100 the gap grows so if you can leave it plugged in as the primary audio device in Windows and then test it in the morning that would be ideal.

Help! I need an answer to this right away please. When you turn your DX90 on and off, do you get a loud pop sound in the headphones? I wrote a letter to iBasso and they said the DX90 is broke. They said to return it to the seller. But the seller said the pop sound is normal. Today is my last day to return.

There should be a relay that temporarily breaks the circuit so that you do not get a pop sound (the pop sound was a big problem on the DX100)

So, if yu're getting pop sounds, that suggests you may have faulty relays.

Therefore, iBasso are probably correct that you need to return the DAP to them for repair or replacement.

Don't take any chances and return it, unless you want to hold onto it then ask them to service it. You'll have to take one choice over the other knowing well that you'll loose the shipping costs for the return however you'll also be without a player while it's being sent for repairs and they would send you a replacement. At the end of the day you'll have to decide what you want to do, such is life my friend. I would go along with Mython assessment as far as it being damaged.

If Prostudio is prompt with their refund, I will order another DX90 from them right away, this will reset my warranty also. Hopefully they won't sell me the same broken DX90 since they do not agree it is broken.

Are you using a Program like Foobar or WinAmp that are capable of a direct digital output addons like Wasapi or Asio? Even then, there will still probably be delay in the sound. You will have to find a media player that has a sound sync/delay function, I'm not sure which one has it. For example my TV when connected to a DAC or Receiver also falls out of sync with the audio, but my tv has an audio sync setting/signal delay to correct it.

The pop is not normal, the seller is wrong. Forward the email iBasso sent you to him. That is what I would do.

yup what's normal is hearing a 'click' sound.. but if it's a 'pop' it means the device is faulty.

Badluck for me I just realized I had this popping sound too. And my 1 week change unit on the shop is done. Now how?

I've connected the DX90's LO directly to a pair of Neumann KH-120 active (powered) studio monitors via a home-made 1/8" TRS-to-Balanced XLR cable (using Sommer Cable Peacock Mk II mic cable and Neutrik XX-series connectors) and the sound is fantastic. These monitors were (obviously) made for studio and FOH tracking/mixing/monitoring and have fantastic imaging and detail. The incredible soundstage, detail, and realism makes me

!!! Even without my Infinity Beta 15x subwoofer these little guys reach very low and clean! The Beta 15x just adds another dimension and more impact. Highly recommended as a setup that truly demonstrates the quality of both the DX90 and the KH-120 monitors.

You have to make sure it's the problem, mine clicks but that is the relay action when I turn it on or off, so make sure that is the problem and not the normal operation.
Use a pair of cans instead of iems to see if the issue is still there. If it is you'll have to contact the dealer or iBasso depending where you got your initial unit. This thing is warranted for a full year, so long enough for thou to get it to work. It's too late for return if you passed the 14 day with iBasso or whatever the dealer allows you to.

^ yea, I can definitely hear the dx90 amp turn on through my iems, like a very soft pop followed by the low hissing of the amp, that is completely normal. You also should be able to hear two clicks from the player when turned on, the clicks are not heard through your iems, but from the dap itself, so leave your iems out of your ears, and listen for the clicks from the dx90 on turn on. The clicks are normal, they are the relays stopping really loud pops from going through your earphones. If you are not hearing the clicks from the dx90, then the relays are not working and there will be a very loud pop through your earphones. Make sure your dx90 is actually broken, not just operating normally like I've outlined.

JRiver has this but the delay isn't static and well... there is no slider in games or browsers so... there's that.
