Looking to get good headphones and possibly portable amp/dac for >$150.

I am rather inexperienced in shopping for headphones and accessories for them; however over the past week I have been scanning through countless articles, reviews, and online catalogs searching for the best deals on headphones and portable amps. I plan to spend approximately $150 for both headphones and amp/dac and have just about decided on a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M30's but am wondering about the amp/dac I that I should get or if I even need one. I primarily listen to music on either my PC or android phone which is now 5 years old.I have thought about getting a FiiO E7 but am to new at this to trust my own decisions without outside opinions. I appreciate any help that is given.

I really don't recommend amping the M30, especially if that's your only headphone to be driven. Amping the M30 gives you better mids detail and bass response.

Martin Logan Mikros 90 and Fiio e-11 gets you there and I am very pleased with the result.

Thank you for the advice. I had a feeling that they wouldn't require an amp, but as I said before I wanted to be sure. Is there a better set of headphones within my budget that still won't need an amp?
