Curious as  to why at Amazon the Beyerdynamic DT-990-Pro 250 ohm model sells for $167. and yet the non "Pro" 250 ohm version sells for $302.  ??

I'm totally familiar with S&D but that's not the case with these two items.

because the $302.00 is called the "premium" version for a reason.

Sarcasm aside, this has been a thing with Beyer for a while. The only difference the Premium has a coiled cable and a nicer finish. That's it. Same headphone.

The Pro's have a coiled cable, the Premium's have a straight cable. The clamping force is much greater with the Pro's. I also think that the Premium's look much nicer.
