SOLD!: Audioengine D3 Dac+Amp - 10hrs from new (MINT)

Will Ship To: USA, Canada, CONUS

Selling for a limited time only, my almost new Audioengine D3. It will come with everything as it did new and the unit is in mint condition. Price is shipped to USA via priority mail, Canada will be extra. Price is firm and no trades please. Bought from another head-fi member new here: AUDIOENGINE D3

This little piece of marvel packs a massive punch in amping and sound clarity. I have no idea how Audioengine did it but the sound coming out of it rivals my Yulong D100 that costs much more. Powered by USB only, the D3 is capable of providing clean power with it's built in dual power filter and audiophile grade sound from a 24-bit (up to 96khz) DAC to orthodynamics. An analog volume attenuator is controlled by the Windows sound bar via driver implementation, which means you can drop the sound level down to 20% (for sensitive HP or IEMS) and not face the downfall of digital attenuation. Sound is tilted slightly toward warmth, great bass with sub-bass extension and good impact. Mids are rich and full sounding, every slightly forward but nothing that will be shunned by flat response listeners. Highs have clarity and air, it does roll off at the highest range and would be the milder frequency of the three. Great pairing for those that have bright phones, want a touch of warmth, or are sensitive to treble.

I've tried it with the AKG Q701 and it sounds fantastic, sane volume levels only reach 60% of the bar. Mad Dog 3.2s also sound fantastic out of them. With the highly efficient 32ohm ESW9, volume levels were down in the 20-30% region and did not have any signs of quality loss. The D3 is advertised to power HD800s as well as LCD 3s, plenty of power if that is of your concern. All that in a thumb drive form factor!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking and have a great day. Listing will end on Monday night 4/14/14.
