Are Mad Dogs Right for Me?

I'm looking for suggestion on closed headphones.

The sound signature I tend to like is on the warm side, but detailed.  I like my mids a bit forward and strong female vocals.  My current headphones (HD598) fit the bill pretty well.  A V-Shaped sound signature is a deal breaker.

Other headphones that I've tried and liked are: HD600, HD650, LCD-X, Stax SR-007 (I think).

I didn't particularly care for the HiFiMan headphones, but I didn't get a chance to listen to them very much.

So are Mad Dogs going to fit what I'm looking for?

What other suggestions can you make in the $300-500 range?

Thanks!

ZMF has better mids, and vocals is its second strongest suit after string instruments (all sorts).

Interesting, I hadn't heard of the ZMF before.  Can anyone else comment on these or any other T50RP mod?
