Just got into this world of hi-fi audio. Most of the things I got were because I red reviews and thought it would be a good buy. I am some what of a blank canvas when it comes to this stuff. so please feel free to add suggestions. :D

Headphones

HD650. Stock. (Need suggestions for an affordable cable replacement.)

HD800 - Double helix custom cable 4 feet.

Weston 4r. Mostly for traveling.

AMPS

FiiO e17 Alpen (mostly used with the HD650)

HeadAmp Pico amp USB DAC/AMP (HD800)

Before my eyes where opened

Bose SIE2

Powerbeats.

Bose Sounddock 10.

Consider a Bottlehead Crack for the HD-650.

How are you liking the HD800/Pico combination? Considering getting a pair of HD800's myself.

The HD800 are very comfortable. I can honestly say I forget that I am waring them some times. The Pico amp is very light and packs a punch. I am not familiar with sound stages and all that but I can hear a noticeable difference with the Pico vs the FiiO. With that said I have only used those 2 amps.

A number of guys have had good results using HD800 with the Matrix M-Stage, but I haven't tried it.

IMHO, the M-Stage is a really good budget amp for the HD-800, one of the best I've heard for under $1k.

What about tube amps. Do I need any of that or will that M-Stage be enough.

Tube amps with HD800 makes sense. It's actually quite common.
