They have this idea.

Full screen control UI from your smartphone via BT.

(Wave in your pocket, bag or beside you. You control from your smartphone)

Wave has a smaller screen for limited DAP controls.

(Use Wave without your smartphone. Basic controls howerver)

Eliminating the big screen on Wave removes much noise that it creates (Argument of LHlabs) .

Some will probably like this, but the BT will drain some battery life, right? I don't own a smartphone, don't want one. I can live with a basic UI and no album art if it sounds awesome.

Last minute reminder for those who are interested in purchasing the IEM upgrade, THD upgrade or both that you only have a few hours left. From what I've been told, those perks are going to be gone as of midnight PST tonight. Larry did confirm you can get both in the same unit.

And if we are not interested, when is the time limit to continue being confused and not interested?

This mess is so convoluted I can't take it anymore.

x2 to Mimouille

I'm going back to my Hugo. Unsubscribed.

+3. Too bad they won't respond to my requests to back out.

Yeah so much for a "no compromise" portable media player...maybe it's "no compromise" if you buy all of the upgrades. I was thinking this was A-OK for in-ears right from the get-go, apparently that was a compromise.

I was feeling a little crazy the other night & jumped off my wallet to buy in for a X128 with the IEM perk for my Westones.

Still debating whether or not to go for the THD perk as well when they post it again. I may as well go all in if I am going to put myself through the hell of waiting 8 to 10 months for this thing to surface.

I currently have a Fiio X5 & was really hopeful for what the X7 might become in the early stages of discussions with end users, but I just couldn't go down that road given the decisions they have made, & the perks LH have come out with.

Now for the long wait to see how this decision works out.

Still in awe with my GO1000. IMO, speaking about SQ, it's a no contest.

If you have an opportunity, audition a Geek Out.

Hey Mickey,

Thats Great News!  Thanks for the feedback.   I really think the balanced version of the Geek Wave will compete or potentially better the AK240 as it uses Sabre 9018w Dual DAC's plus with the addition of Femto Clocks for ultra low Jitter coupled with the fact that it is designed by Larry Ho and the LH labs team that build the legendary $30K DA VINCI DAC this could be a home run and save a ton of $$$ for another pair of phones.

Be Well

I believe the same as well but I just hope the player is not going to be too big as the XD128 requires a larger battery which will most likely make it thicker.

I'm sorry I sounded a bit of fanboi. But honestly I was surprised. You could easily mistaken the Geek Out as a mid-sized DAC. But I encourage guys to hear them. So that you have an idea on what to expect for the Wave.

And remember this is not an ITEM purchase but a Crowd FUND. As a 'gratitude' they will give us 'perks'. There will be delays (like all crowd funding projects). So a bit of patience is needed.

At least Larry/Gavin is more transparent. There were delays on my Geek Out. But they delivered. They opted to delay and do it right.

Just my experience with them.

Hi m-i-c-k-e-y,

Did you allready made a choice?

The Geek Wave 32 does seem to be an insanely good buy. Really tempted but I just got an X5.... Don't know what to do XD

Hi John,
Yep! Went to IEM Pkg.+THD Upg. Larry Ho said we can combine the two. (^o^)
