In-ear phones wax and dust buildup. How should I clean it

Thread Starter

I've had these cks1000s for around 6 months-ish. I purchased them from a member here and they were in perfect condition. However, I'm finding that the wax and dust building up is getting pretty horrible and I need to address this before my phones are totally ruined (if they're not already).

I always make sure to clean out the tips before I put them on. I've also went to the doctor to flush my ears but he told me there's no wax to flush out so I know I don't have a wax buildup problem at all. I guess this is a result of wax slowly getting in the tips while listening + not always keeping them in their carrying case = dust.

Anyways guys, I need your advice on how to get these bad boys as clean as possible again. I hope all is not too late!

I've also attached some pics so you can somewhat see the condition (NSFW, if you work at an audio store)

Early thanks for everyone's useful input
