Detached Stax Six Pin Extention Cable- Help!

Thread Starter

I have a six pin male that is attached to a six pin female Stax extention cable.  The inner wires of the six pin female part has become detached.  Can you tell me the proper configuration of the wires; so that I can re attach them with solder.  there are three white wires and three red wires.  Thanks.

If you have a multi meter you can do a continuity test using the ohm setting(beep). Plug the 2 connecters together but not all the way in so you can access the pins on the male connector with one of the meter probes & the other probe on the wire that came off the female part & listen to the beeping noise touching the broken wires.Once you get continuity solder that wire to the female connecter.
