Portable FLAC player, Nexus 7 or ZX1?

Thread Starter

I'm looking for a FLAC player along with most of my music collection.
Given how fiddly it is iTunes handles FLAC, I figured Android is most likely the go to for it.
I think that either the Nexus 7 or the ZX1 would act as the best options...

Anyone knows about sound quality comparisons?

I'm just a bit concerened as to whether or not the price and storage of the ZX1 is actually worth it, compared to the N7 that can be bought for 50% of the price. Apps are NOT a priority for me, its music all the way.

Any experience care to share or advise about this tablet vs Walkman? Or possible alternatives?

Thanks allll

I owned the first generation Nexus 7, and the sound was not that great.

For a DAP that plays flacs, also look into Sansa Clip+, FiiO X3, and Fiio X5.

I suggest ibasso dx50...great dap.

You're not gonna fit much FLAC on a 32GB N7.

As already said, the FiiO X5 is really the best DAP you can get that puts music first, and has an extremely well done DAC and Amplification section.
