Hi, I'm from Malaysia. I'm listening to mostly extreme metal stuff like Death, Black, Thrash, Doom, Gore, Grindcore etc but I'm also listening to other clean metal stuff from Heavy, Symphonic, Power/Speed Metal and sometimes I also listening to other type of music from japanese rock, classic rock to fusion jazz, electronica, classical, indie including the mainstream stuff from oldies, pop, ballad, acoustic etc.. Can you can suggest me the best cans for that type of music?

What is your budget, and what kind of equipment will you be plugging the headphones into? Do you prefer open vs. closed? Should the headphones be portable?

Grado RS1.

Scale down a bit to the SR225 if you are on a tighter budget.

Great rock/metal cans.

budget around US$50-200. i will be used with mobile device, computer and sometimes with other audio amp at home. i don't mind either open or closed can. Most of the time it will be portable.

If you're listening more for guitars and cymbals, SR225i. Edit: Not portable. So if you're listening more for guitars and cymbals, Mikros 90 (on ear).

If you're listening more for bass and drums, used M100.
